If they were located on the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast, these beachfront homes would be ten times the price.
But buyers with around $1 million – or less – to spend can still buy a cracking beachfront home in this major Queensland region.
Townsville, which is home to major employers such as health, defence and mining, is still incredibly affordable compared to the southern markets, with the median house price across the region as a whole just $365,000.
