Gold Coast land values: Carrara and Bundall increase the most in residential land value Aleisha Pidgeon, Gold Coast Bulletin

GOLD Coast land valuations have jumped by up to 20 per cent in some suburbs off the back of a booming housing market.

The Valuer-General’s 2017 Property Market Movement report shows the median price for residential land on the Gold Coast increased by 8.5 per cent over the past year to $320,000.

Carrara and Bundall recorded the biggest valuation increase — jumping by 20.4 per cent and 19.6 per cent respectively.

While no Gold Coast suburbs declined in land value, Coolangatta, Pacific Pines and South Stradbroke recorded no change.

WINNERS

Carrara, 20.4 per cent

Bundall, 19.6 per cent

Palm Beach, 16.3 per cent

Tallebudgera, 15.7 per cent

Clear Island Waters, 15.1 per cent

LOSERS

Coolangatta, zero per cent

Pacific Pines, zero per cent

South Stradbroke, zero per cent

Bilinga, 1.8 per cent

Oxenford, 2.3 per cent
