A DEVOTED car lover has created a shed wonderland on an acreage property north of Brisbane.
Neville Hanlon said he just kept building on the 3000sq m block at 34 Chestnut Drive, Burpengary, since purchasing the property with wife Jackie in 1992.
“I’m a bit of a car enthusiast, hence why lots of sheds,” he said.
“I understand it’s a rare thing now to have that many sheds today. Everyone likes the sheds, they’re very versatile as they can fit cars, caravans or even trucks.
“We’ve been there so long and built it over quite a few years, we don’t think about what we’ve got.”
There’s space for 14 cars and the main shed includes a mezzanine level. All up that’s 280sq m of shed space.
But you also get a two-storey home with five bedrooms, three bathrooms, an office and several living areas including a theatre with coloured lights.
An upstairs granny flat has two bedrooms and a kitchen.
“It was good when our kid was growing up, and you could actually rent it out the way it’s set up,” Mr Hanlon said.
The property also includes a powered cubby house, four water tanks, an inground saltwater pool, spa and a gazebo.
The couple is now looking to downsize.
Harcourts marketing agent Kerry Marks said the property may suit a business.
“It has that ‘wow’ factor and very impressive dual-living upstairs,” she said.
The home is priced at $980.000.
