
The master planned community of Pelican Waters has become a major showcase for diversity of builders’ product in South East Queensland as the demand for ready-built homes in the award-winning estate continues.
Builders are responding enthusiastically to Pelican Waters’ newest precinct, Waterside, where construction activity is at record levels resulting in a wide range of new homes ready for sale, or being released to the market in coming months.
General Manager of Development for Pelican Waters, Hamish Pressland, said of the approximate 200 home sites sold in 2015, 60% had already been built on.
“Presently there are 10 brand new homes for sale and we anticipate a further 65 to come on line within the next 12 months,’’ he said.
“More and more people are coming to Pelican Waters for turn-key product and currently the large variety available suits all tastes. Not only are our enquiry levels continuing to rise, but increasingly so too is the interest in new homes. More recently, about 30% of enquiry is for newly-built homes,’’ Mr Pressland said.

Some of the builders are located in the Pelican Waters display village, others build only 10-15 homes a year whilst others are large volume builders,’’ Mr Pressland said.
“These builders are not just buying a lot for a display home, they are investing in multiple land sales and creating outstanding opportunities that are now available throughout Pelican Waters.

Across the community there are opportunities to suit all budgets from entry level to high-end waterfront homes in the $900,000 range.
“Diversity of product is a key feature of Pelican Waters where all tastes and budgets are catered for,’’ Mr Pressland said.
“From waterfront, waterview and residential dry lots and an array of ready built product ranging from units, town houses and duplexes, to rear lane homes built to maximise living space, to traditional modern homes right up to waterfront trophy homes, there really is something for everybody.
