RICH tenants have their very own five-star service to help them find luxury properties on the Coast.
Demand for prestige rentals is so high a dedicated “luxury property manager” is even dealing with the inquiries.
Harcourts Coastal agent Brent Martens was given the task three months ago and said it involved a lot more than just holding an inspection.
“Most of the time we’ve got five or six high-end properties and we will often take people on a tour of them and let them pick what they want,” Mr Martens said.
“A lot of them are corporate people and are busy, so we organise everything for them to make the job easier.
“We can organise a cleaner to go through weekly and we can even organise all the utilities.”
He said luxury rentals were snapped up within hours of hitting the market by both local and interstate tenants and many were even leased off-market.

“You get a lot of people from down south who want to try living here for a year, or they want to move here permanently but rent a luxury property for a year while they have a look at where they want to buy,” he said.
“Then we’ve got a lot of locals selling their big proprieties as the market is strong at the moment and deciding to rent for a year or two and see what the market does.”
And he doesn’t see it slowing down, with summer typically the peak leasing period.
“I expect to get busier in December, January and February as a lot of people will move here for work,” he said.
Dr Sean Butler, a geriatrician and general physician, is renting a two-bedroom apartment in Broadbeach for $800 a week after he and his wife sold their Currumbin Valley house.
“I’ve had four jobs in eight years and part of that is moving around to get the experience in the industry,” Dr Butler, who runs Robina-based practice Elite Elderly, said.
“The thing about renting is you can try different areas.
“I first rented in Palm Beach — it really gives you an idea of what it’s like to live in an area and I think that’s a real positive.
“Once you’re happy with your area you can then look to buy.”
CoreLogic statistics show suburbs with the highest median weekly rents on the Coast are Clear Island Waters ($750), Bundall ($710), Paradise Point ($685) and Tallai ($680).
