A GOLD Coast mansion with a string of luxury features has hit the market with a $15.95m price tag.
Arcachon, in gated Sanctuary Cove in the northern pocket of the city, comes with a wine cellar, library, heated pool, jacuzzi and a state-of-the art pontoon that can accommodate an 100ft vessel.
Property records show the seller is Ann Knipe, who paid $10 million for the 1841 sqm estate at 8085 Riverside Drive in January, 2021.
The estate includes more than 60m of river frontage and a 180-degree view of a protected nature reserve.
The French provincial-style house has five bedrooms, five bathrooms as well four living areas, a gym and a garage for up to eight cars.
“Without a doubt this is one of the premier residences in Sanctuary Cove and on the Gold Coast,” said Ray White’s Matt Gates, who is marketing the property.
He said he expected strong interest in the property as the prestige market sector continued to outperform the broader housing market with a record $40 million in sales in October in Sanctuary Cove.
The record result included the sale of 5719 Anchorage Tce within the community for almost $14m.
Built in 2017, the luxury home has a host of high-end features including the basement wine club housing 2000 bottles of top-shelf plonk, along with a heated infinity-edge pool, riverside firepit lounge, executive office, gym, plus a boat shed and 30m pontoon.
The highest price paid in Sanctuary Cove is $17.7m in November, 2021, when Gold Coast business tycoon Tony Quinn bought a five-bedroom, 11-bathroom waterfront home.
Mr Gates said there was a shift in prestige buyers to a younger market, while the proportion of active, wealthy retirees including Australians and overseas buyers remained strong.
Sanctuary Cove is a self-contained, luxury residential locale at Hope Island that offers golf courses, a shopping and dining village, a country club, and a world-class marina.
The highest price paid on the Gold Coast this year is $24.8 million for a riverfront estate in Southport.
Alston, at 5 McMillan Court is the highest residential property sale in QLD this year.
