Ahoy! See what businesses coming on deck at ‘amazing’ new marina village

The New Marina Village

A number of high-profile tenants are set to feature at a lifestyle and dining hub near the Sunshine Coast’s first marina in more than 30 years.

A range of services will be in place at the Pelican Waters Marina Village, opposite the multimillion-dollar Pelican Waters Marina.

Henzells commercial agent Andrew Douglas, who is at the helm of leasing for the Kennedy Property Group project, said the village would be a hive of activity.

“Approximately eight of the 15 commercial vacancies have now been filled, with Coffee Club being the anchor tenant, along with medical and allied health services, pilates studio, gym and sushi restaurant amongst those who have committed to the premium waterfront retail and lifestyle hub adjacent the marina,” he said.

The village will be close to a new multimillion-dollar marina.

Negotiations are progressing to attract a blue-chip restaurant or bistro operator to establish a signature business on the prime 123sqm waterfront site, overlooking the marina.

Further opportunities exist for food, drink and restaurant operators, allied health providers and specialty retail outlets with water and park-front aspects and a range of sizes.

“People are looking ahead and imagining what an amazing destination this will be in the very near future,” Mr Douglas said.

“It will be buzzing with activity as the central hub of foot traffic resulting from the marina. They want to get in now before the boat sails.

“Tenants and their customers will enjoy linked covered pedestrian access and convenient close parking – only steps away from the neighbouring Marina Village Medical Precinct offering a range of health and wellness services.

“With construction imminent and completion expected during 2023, the Village is destined to become the preeminent lifestyle and dining hub for the established Pelican Waters Community, and visitors alike.

“Only limited opportunities remain to take advantage of this unique and stunning location in the heart of the new Pelican Waters town centre which will be home to over 2000 new residents and opposite the Sunshine Coast’s first marina in many decades.

The village will include 15 tenancies.

The accompanying marina, expected to be completed by late 2022 or early next year, will comprise a fully-enclosed 3000sqm shed for the storage of up to 160 boats up to 12m in length, boat lifts, one hour launch and retrieval service, boat wash-down and engine flush amenities, client lounge and more.

On the water, the network of floating pontoons, which are now more than 95 per cent complete, set the scene for what will be a thriving hub of nautical activity once the boats arrive.

When finished, the marina will provide safe harbour and first-class amenities for 126 vessels up to 15m in length.

“Village businesses will benefit from the constant ebb and flow of marina users and visitors in this exciting new lifestyle precinct,” Mr Douglas said.
