Bellbird Park’s newly upgraded Jones Road was officially opened to the public following the completion of major works to the main road that connects the Springfield suburbs to Goodna.
AVID Property Group, the developer of Brentwood Forest invested $6 million in the upgrade to deliver a vital link between Brentwood Forest, Bellbird Park and the Greater Springfield and Ipswich regions.
The upgrade delivered a dedicated bus bay and upgraded intersection at Harris Street including installation of traffic lights and widened 800m’s of road to provide additional lanes and support traffic flow on the major road.
AVID Property Group General Manager Bruce Harper said the Jones Road upgrade benefits existing Bellbird Park residents as well as new Brentwood Forest residents, businesses and visitors to the area.
“AVID’s $6 million investment in the road upgrade facilitates safer and faster road travel on one of the region’s key thoroughfares and addresses current and future traffic needs brought on by the extraordinary growth in the Greater Springfield and Ipswich regions,” he said.
The better connected Brentwood Forest is currently home to more than 1200 residents, with this number expected to increase significantly in coming months as construction progresses and sales at the established development continue following the latest land release.
Mr Harper said the latest land release has something for everyone and that land prices at Brentwood Forest provide buyers with value for money.
“Block sizes available in our latest release range from an easy care 250m2 to 563m2 family sized blocks, which means there are options to suit all living choices and lifestyles,” Mr Harper said.
Land prices at Brentwood start from $169,000 for blocks that are ready to build on in an established community that is close to a vast range of amenities and conveniences.”
Brentwood Forest is also home to new high school, Bellbird Park State Secondary College which only recently opened its doors to new students.
A new child care centre is also planned for Brentwood Forest and is expected to open in 2017.
The upgrade project commenced in 2014, with civil contractor BMD responsible for carrying out the works.
