Ray White Bulimba agent Gunther Behrendt sells property in the Cannon Hill area and described it as an “exciting place to live in Brisbane”.
Mr Behrendt said the area offered a range of accommodation from new units and apartments, introducing younger homeowners and investor into the area.
“The investment in the area is evident with the East Village Emporium development offering new retail, entertainment and cinema,” he said.
“Cannon Hill Plaza is a sprawling shopping centre and includes the three major supermarket chains, Bunnings, a variety of shops, and Carindale Shopping centre is just 10 minutes away.
He said the motorway was easily accessible to the Sunshine Coast, or Gold Coast.
“There is a real sense that this area is evolving,” he said.
“Brisbane’s new golf course is being built behind the Cannon Hill Plaza which will include 123 new homes.
“Families are moving in and investing in their properties, either renovating or rebuilding new. Its exciting to see the change and pride people have in their homes.”
Young restaurateur Nick James opened The Yiros Shop at Cannon Hill in July last year.
He said the growing suburb was the perfect place to open up his business which serves Greek cuisine.
“There’s also nothing else in the area that offers what we offer and Southgate Shopping Centre was a great location for the shop due to tenant mix at the centre and also the ample parking.” Mr James said.
“Cannon Hill, while a large suburb has that community vibe. We get a lot of regulars and families who are keen for eating Greek food and being Greek, it’s part of our culture to share the love of food with other people and there’s no better than Cannon Hill to do that,” he said.
