Stockwell has launched Virtuoso, a luxury development on the last remaining river site on the elevated West End peninsula.
Previously home to the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, the site was purchased by Stockwell and its joint venture partner Gresham Property Fund No 4 late last year.
Gresham Property Executive Director Stuart Skerman said, “Gresham is looking forward to undertaking the Project in a joint venture partnership with Mark and the Stockwell team. This partnership gives Gresham the opportunity to engage with a highly experienced and industry recognised developer and to capitalise on the skills sets of both parties involved.”
Stockwell achieved DA on the site in just over 3 months, a significantly shorter timeframe than is usually experienced in the industry which is testament to the quality of the design.
The $100 million project features a mix of three, four and five bedroom apartments and has been designed to maximise the expansive views of the Brisbane River and Mt Coot-tha.
Mark Stockwell said the development was a logical move for Stockwell given its success on the peninsula.
“Stockwell has a long history of developing in West End, pioneering the suburb’s boom with our first residential development Regatta Apartments in 2003,” Mr Stockwell said.
“We have delivered 235 apartments in the West End since 2003 and this number will grow to over 700 by 2018.”
“Virtuoso is our fourth development on the peninsula and it is unique in its design.”
“Virtuoso provides all the benefits, space and luxury of a large home but without the hassle of maintaining one, it’s easy living at its best,” Mr Stockwell said.
Virtuoso is designed to integrate with West End’s Riverfront lifestyle with apartments featuring large open-plan living areas with an emphasis on indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces.
Sales Executive for Stockwell Liz McSweeney has seen first-hand the evolution of Brisbane’s inner south.
“West End is such an inspiring suburb, it has an amazing mix of culture, amenity, great food and an eclectic nature you don’t find anywhere else in Brisbane,” Ms McSweeney said.
